CoreView Native 64 bit Software Architecture

CoreView 6.0 and above offers native 64 bit architecture for the entire CoreView software suite of products. CoreView products now run on Windows 7 64bit OS maximizing memory and CPU resources and supporting larger inspection projects and accelerated measurement results.

Flush and Gap measurement and analysis

CoreView 6.0 and above offers support for measurement and analysis of flush and gap dimensions between matching parts in assembled configurations. This adds to previously available methods allowing virtual assembly of separately measured matching parts. The flush and gap measurements are based on three types of edge line geometries including trim, round edge and hemmed edge.

Stud Measurement

CoreView 6.0 enriches white light measurement with Studs center and orientation measurements to support this commonly used assembly feature in the automotive and other industries.

Measurement Reporting Tools

CoreView 6.0 offers improved callout annotation options along with tools for faster and more intuitive preparation of reporting slides including small and large dataset measurement results. These include click of a button positioning, alignment and distribution of callouts across the slide area.

Multilingual Support

CoreView 6.0 adds French and Italian to the existing Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, German and English language versions. Users can switch between languages with ease and get the full GUI, menus and system messages in their local language.  


Edge line Measurement

CoreView 6.0 enhances continuous edge line measurement and analysis capabilities by providing user selected start/finish points for edge line section. This feature supports a metrology transformation from evaluating singular edge points to qualifying continuous part edges with color-mapping analysis.

Blue LED

The Cognitens WLS400 sensor introduces Blue LED based illumination technology for 3D surface and features measurement. Integrated into the sensor, its high intensity LED rings and central LED projector enable measurements under difficult working conditions such as vibrations, ambient and direct factory light. The Blue LED illumination excels in generating intense and highly uniform illumination. This contributes to a high quality 3D reconstruction of the work piece thanks to rapid shot stereo vision and 2D/3D feature measurement technology. The embedded Blue LED combined with high quality digital cameras and optimized filters ensures shop floor operation in the most demanding conditions with no need for light protection or part treatment.

Medium Field of View (MFOV) lenses

Medium Field of View (MFOV) lenses for Cognitens WLS400A/M systems complement the existing Large Field of View (LFOV) set by offering higher resolution for defined areas. The new set and supporting software provides increased accuracy and point cloud resolution with better geometry tracking for both flat and high curvature areas. The MFOV and LFOV lens sets are easily exchangeable.

Full Windows 7 OS compatibility

Full Windows 7 OS compatibility is now offered in WLS400A/M systems for CoreView 5.5 and above. CoreView Pro/Lite, CoreView Analysis, CoreView STL, etc, can also be installed on PCs and laptops running Windows 7 operating system. In addition to supported local languages of CoreView (English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese (simplified), Japanese), local languages are also supported in the Windows 7 Ultimate version. This provides a full localized environment for end users.

VDI/VDE 2634 Part 2 standard

VDI/VDE 2634 Part 2 standard: Cognitens White Light 3D measurement systems are tested, certified and comply with this international guidelines for optical metrology systems. CoreView 5.5 and above supports the full VDI/VDE 2634 testing process and generates standard reports presenting key metrics (i.e. Probing error, Flatness error, Local distance error).

Plane Inspection and GD&T

Plane Inspection and GD&T: CoreView 5.5 and above offers enhanced tools and capabilities for inspection and reporting of planes. This includes definition from both CAD data and actual point cloud measurement, dimension and GD&T settings and finally comparison between nominal data and actual results. The new GD&T elements include: Flatness, Parallelism, Perpendicularity, Angularity and Distance to a point amongst others.

3D Visualization Tools

3D Visualization Tools help users to measure features, points and areas with greater ease and in minimal time.

The new tools include real time visualization of white light sensor (WLS400) in 3D. The new capabilities also allow visualizing the optimal sensor position for measuring specific items on an object. Visual color indication on meeting guidelines for measuring geometric features and manufacturing.
