Hexagon Metrology Acquires Finnish Distributor Visava Oy

The company will be transformed into a fully integrated subsidiary including a demo centre near Helsinki

Hexagon Metrology announces today the acquisition of all shares from Visava Oy.  Visava has been a well-proven partner of Hexagon Metrology in Finland for more than six years. Based in Vantaa near Helsinki, Visava is strategically well-located also for serving the growing neighbouring economies for example in the Baltic states. All former employees have been taken over and will join Hexagon Metrology's strong team in Northern Europe.

The acquisition will combine the Finnish company's strong customer relations, service capabilities and broad experience in the local market with the global resources and technologies of Hexagon Metrology. It will further strengthen Hexagon Metrology’s position on the Finnish market.

“We are excited about the potential which is created by our new subsidiary in Finland”, said Pelle Ohlsson, General Manager of Hexagon Metrology Nordic. “It is part of our global growth strategy to acquire key distribution partners to be closer to our customers.” 

The new commercial operation in Finland will open a Precision Centre, Hexagon Metrology’s demo centres, to present a wide range of Hexagon Metrology products. It will also provide training, technical assistance and installation for Hexagon Metrology products sold in Finland.
