Dimensional Domain Server is a CogniTens software product that runs on a central server and is designed to fit a customer’s proprietary dimensional business processes and methodologies. The Dimensional Domain Server interfaces with various CogniTens platforms and software products and provides a secure and managed environment to collect, store and manage dimensional information generated across the organization.

The Dimensional Domain Server has emerged from a growing need of automotive OEMs and smaller Tier-1 suppliers which are implementing CogniTens solutions across their operations.
The Dimensional Domain Server answers the industry’s need to:

CogniTens Products – Server Interface

This allows each of the CogniTens platform and software products to connect directly to the server and have a bilateral communication which allows:

• Secured client access to the server after authentication  
• Search and retrieve dimensional information located on the server based on general and customer specific information
• Ability to upload/download multiple measurement programs and setups from OptiPlan to/from the server.
• Ability to download multiple measurement programs from the Server into Optigo or OptiCell dimensional measurement stations.
• Ability to automatically upload dimensional measurement results generated in Optigo and OptiCell to the Server.
• Ability to download multiple measurement results from the Server directly to CoreView Pro.
• Ability to share customized CoreView Pro reports through the Server
• Ability to make a CoreView Master Part available through the server

The Dimensional Domain Server core software is allows the following: 

• Storing the various CogniTens products outputs on the Server.
• Storing references to the dimensional data in a hierarchical database.
• Authenticating access to the server by CogniTens Clients or Web client.
• Automatic uploading, classification and management of dimensional measurement information of different types.
• Managing of user authentication and secured access to the data. 
• Managing of data stored in the database to allow inactivation and/ or reactivation of certain data.
• Documenting detailed log and audit-trail of server events & user activities.
• Allowing 3rd party software to interface with the dimensional domain server.

The Dimensional Domain Server web portal provides the necessary tools for daily administration of the server. It allows the following:

• Secured access through the web interface using a login page for administrators
• Powerful web style search and download capabilities on all available dimensional information.
• Browsing the dimensional information through a hierarchical tree view. 
• Redirecting retrieved data to the suitable CogniTens software product
• Attributes merging and management tools.
• Setting automatic administration rules for managing data objects in the server based on defined rules.
