ISO 9001:2000
The ISO 9000 family of international quality management standards and guidelines has earned a global reputation as the basis for establishing quality based operations. CogniTens is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company and by meeting the ISO 9001:2000 specification conforms to the most demanding requirements for a quality management system. This reflects on our ability to consistently provide products and solutions that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction.


CE
CogniTens is a CE certified provider of Dimensional Measurement Solutions. By meeting CE requirements CogniTens conforms to essential health and safety requirements set out by European directives. Currently the CE Marking has been certified and approved for CogniTens' Optigo portable platform and is in process for certifying the OptiCell fully automated platform.


NIST

The US National Institute for Standards & Technology is also the nation's measurement laboratory responsible for ensuring accuracy and reliability of various measurement systems, applications and technologies. CogniTens conforms to NIST's standards and offers products and solutions which have been produced and calibrated using NIST certified tools and traceable to NIST approved measurements. By providing these references CogniTens makes it possible to compare measurements, promoting trust and confidence in our solutions used in the Automotive and Aerospace manufacturing industries.




NEMA 12
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) is a public organization through which the electro industry develops and promotes positions on standards and government regulations. NEMA 12 has become a global industry standard for development and use of system enclosures constructed for indoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against incidental contact with the enclosed equipment. The NEMA 12 standard also provides a degree of protection against falling dirt; against circulating dust, lint, fibers, and against dripping and light splashing of liquids. CogniTens OptiCell systems, designed for automated operation in demanding industrial conditions conform to this standard.


UL

Underwriters Laboratories is an independent product safety certification organization that has been testing products and writing Standards for Safety for over a century. CogniTens products are designed and tested to conform to UL standards for safe operation in manufacturing shop floors.  


 




VDI – VDI/VDE 2634

VDI is the independent association of German engineers. Established in 1856, the VDI is today the largest engineering association in Western Europe. Amongst its various activities the VDI organization is involved in defining standards and guidelines for various engineering systems. VDI/VDE 2634 is the VDI guideline for optical 3D multiple-view measuring systems based on area scanning. CogniTens optical 3D measurement systems are tested, certified and accepted according to this guideline using ball bar accuracy evaluation procedures.




DOL Occupational Safety and Health Standards
The US Department of Labor (DOL) defines various regulations on occupational safety and health standards. Standard 1910.307 relates to operation of electric equipment in Hazardous environments. Class II, Division 1 in this standard relates to an environment where ignitable concentrations of combustible dusts can exist all / or some of the time under normal operation conditions. The standard use CogniTens systems are designed for operation in non hazardous conditions. However, following customer requests CogniTens has proven its Optigo systems may be adapted to conform to this standard.
